How to Earn a Lot of Money (Credits) at the Start of Starfield

5 September 2023

In-game currency is crucial, especially at the beginning of your journey. There might come a point where you run out of funds, but your level and equipment aren't sufficient for distant travels. However, we know a fantastic way to help you accumulate a lot of credits in Starfield right at the beginning of your gaming adventure!

Guide on Credit Farming for Beginners in Starfield

Our first stop on this journey is Alpha Centauri, the spaceport on the planet Jemison.

You need to reach the store called Jemison Mercantile. Approach the vendor, open the "Misc" tab, and purchase a Digipick, which will come in handy for future hacking.

If you need more Digipicks, sit on a bench and wait for 24 hours, then return for your items.

Go to the Nesoi planet and collect loot

The next destination is Olympus, the planet Nesoi. On your approach, you will encounter an airship - carefully dock with it; that's our target.

Important! If you want to earn more rewards, switch to a higher difficulty level. Before each battle (and boarding the airship), don't forget to save your game.

Inside, you'll face an aerial shootout, as gravity works a bit differently in this area. Eliminate all enemies and collect the loot. Now, the most interesting part begins.

Enter here (on the image below), hack the safe, and take the loot.

Next, you need to find a computer containing the safe's code (remember it or simply check our screenshot).

Now, head down - there's a safe, and below it, there's a hole.

Dive into the hole, collect the contraband, and enter the code on the admin panel. Done! Now, you have a bunch of epic items and 3,000 credits from the jackpot in your hands. But what should you do with the contraband you've found?

Get Rid of Contraband

To stay out of trouble and avoid the law, head to the Wolf star system, specifically The Din satellite. Dock with the station, run down the corridor straight ahead, then turn left, and you'll see a vendor - sell all the contraband to him.

If he runs out of money, just wait for 24 in-game hours!

That's it! You'll receive around 35,000 credits for the goods you've sold. We hope this guide was helpful for you.
